Michigan is gripped in 13% unemployment. One in 100 American adults is behind bars. Social Security is bankrupt. North Korea has the bomb. I’m an optimist. I look on the bright side. At some point, though, shouldn’t we realize that this country is in our hands? Yours and mine. That it’s our responsibility, obligation, and duty to take control. Did our generation create the crises at hand? Sure we did. Directly, indirectly, actively, passively. Let’s put the remote down. Let’s come out of our cage and see we’ve not been doing just fine.
